Announcment: new aerospace careers website from the Royal Aeronautical Society and A|D|S

We are currently now working on our new site which will be officially launched on 29 October 2010 at the Society's annual Aerospace and Aviation Careers Fair. Careersinaerospace.com will become our one-stop-shop for information, advice and guidance on all kinds of careers and pathways in aerospace, aviation and defence including case studies, study and aprpenticeships information, careers advice and a forum of experts to answer your specific questions. You can get a feel for the website now but in the meantime please bear with us as we migrate and update content for the new site. In the meantime we will not be updating these pages while we get the new site ready.
The Airbus Fly Your Ideas Challenge is open to college and university students from around the world, studying for a degree, Masters or PhD from any academic discipline.
The competition challenges students across the globe to develop new and innovative ideas to shape the eco-efficient aviation industry of the future, meeting the needs of air transport in a sustainable way.

2010 Lead Schools 3 and 4 announced at Farnborough International Futures Day, 23 July!
Congratulations to Bridge Learning Campus, Bristol and Ercall Wood Technology College, Telford. These two schools will lead the next two projects in their local areas beginning later this year, subject to terms and conditions.

We advise on all types of career pathways within the civil and military sectors of the aerospace industry, from engineering and maintenance through to airline pilots and cabin crew. Experienced professionals seeking further career development within the aerospace industry will also find the careers centre a worthwhile stop. We offer:

- One-to-one careers sessions on CVs, online applications, interview preparation and more. The service is free and unlimited to everyone.
- Written feedback - in special circumstances written CV feedback is available. Individuals should allow up to 4 weeks. Call us for more details.
- Consultancy on the latest job search techniques and recruitment methods.
