Lightning Protection for Aircraft Components
4 December 2013
Safety and reliability of the flight depends heavily on the functionality of sensitive flight control systems.
Modern aircraft is now heavily dependent on components sensitive to EMI. The use of non-conductive composite materials in the aircraft design has increased significantly over the years and so has the need to prevent electromagnetic hazards caused by indirect effects of lightning.
This seminar will examine how various building components of civil aircraft behave under lightning conditions and what particular techniques can be utilised to counter interference.
The IET have extended their member rate offer to RAeS Members, which is £99 + VAT for the seminar.
