Annual PEI Defence Lecture 2013

Lightning II - A Next Generation Capability

The Armed Forces Committee is a sub-group of all the Professional Engineering Institutions (PEI) and host a lecture each year.

The 2013 PEI Defence Lecture will describe the ongoing development of the Lightning II aircraft (previously known as Joint Combat Aircraft), the UK’s first 5th generation ‘stealth’ fighter.

The lecture will include a programmatic update on recent progress as well as providing an overview of upcoming milestones. It will also touch on the main interfaces with its host platform, the new Queen Elizabeth Class carriers, and the ongoing work to integrate these two capabilities.

All RAeS Lectures are free to attend and we welcome both Members and Non Members. To RSVP, please click the Register button under Key Details and log in to your profile or create a user account. Alternatively, send your name and contact details to conference@aerosociety.com to reserve your place.
