The IATA Training and Qualification Initiative (ITQI) is moving to Phase II: supporting the implementation of multi-crew pilot license and evidence-based training, in a competency-based framework.
This paradigm shift in pilot and maintenance personnel training, evaluation and assessment requires:
- A new standard for candidate selection
- A different skills set for instructors
- A different approach to training, evaluation and assessment
Learn more from the successes and challenges faced by the organisations that have implemented, or are in the process of implementing, competency-based training, by joining us in London during this two-day conference, in association with the Royal Aeronautical Society.
One of the main objectives of the IATA Training and Qualification Initiative (ITQI) is to improve operational safety through the implementation of new training programs such as the multi-crew pilot license (MPL) training and evidence-based training (EBT) in flight operations, set in a competency based framework.
The goal is to shift the emphasis of pilot training, from task based training, to a competency-based approach, through the examination of evidence, with the goal to mitigate the real risks and threats faced in everyday operations.
This ITQI conference provides an opportunity for training providers, operators and regulatory authorities to discuss best practices in the implementation of MPL and EBT programmes, in a competency-based framework.
A post conference review is now available via the Society news section.
